Dr. Jerry Sargent received his undergraduate education at North Carolina State University and entered the N.C.S.U. College of Veterinary Medicine in 1991 and received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He joined the staff at the Urbana Veterinary Clinic in 1995 and primarily practices large animal medicine but does practice some small animal medicine. He is involved in most of the large animal and orthopedic surgeries. Jerry also has an interest in veterinary opthamology.

Jerry also does much of the computer work at the Urbana Veterinary Clinic, including publishing and maintaining the Clinic's Web site. His personal web site is Southwind Web Designs. He has given computer classes to local clients on the uses of computers on today's farms. He is in the process of helping to develop the clinic's new software package.

Prior to entering college Jerry was a veterinary technician for the US Army Veterinary Corps working primarily with Military Working Dogs in Europe and the US.
