History

The Urbana Veterinary Clinic, Inc. was established in 1968 by Dr. Donald E. Sanders and Dr. Judith A. Sanders, a husband and wife team of small and large animal veterinarians. Since its inception the Clinic has provided a full range of veterinary services for residents of west central Ohio. Over the years the scope of the Urbana Veterinary Clinic practice has steadily grown.

In 1974 Drs. Don and Judy Sanders designed and built the modern veterinary hospital that is the home of the Urbana Veterinary Clinic today. The 7000-square-foot hospital includes medical, surgical and laboratory facilities for both large and small animals as well as animal housing, a pharmacy, offices and a conference room. Because of its unique, functional design, the hospital was selected as the "National Hospital of the Month" by Veterinary Economics magazine in 1975.
